Video: World’s first PC that “breathes”

Youtuber DIY Perks known for his incredible self made contraptions has made probably the world’s first breathing PC using a bellow system that he created last year. Initially created as a fan, he has managed to integrate a custom PC water cooled with Alphacool components into a working system.

The bellow system itself is a marvel of engineering. It works via a magnet that fits snugly into a liquid filled acrylic tube with water pumped using a solenoid. This creates a moving panel that pushes air as it compresses the space.

In order to create a single radiator water cooling loop, the Alphacool Eisbaer is used as it has an in-built pump to move coolant from the CPU block into the GPU block. Air from the bellow system then passes through a single 360mm Alphacool NexXxos radiator and out into the exhaust vent above.
